May 5: the first Rain or Shine, we’ll walk & dine Expat walk!

Join us on a monthly expat walk in or nearby Amsterdam!
Our first expat walk will take place in Amsterdam. May 5 is Liberation Day (Bevrijdingsdag), a day of national observance, celebrating the Netherlands being freed from the Nazi occupation. It’s a festive day in the city of Amsterdam and in the Netherlands, a perfect day to meet new friends!
We will walk through the old center of Amsterdam, Chinatown, the Palace at Dam Square, the Jordaan, and will make a stop at the Westermarkt where Liberation is celebrated with the LGBT+ community and friends. Website: https://www.facebook.com/events/2814313192204738/

After a while we will continue our walk to the Westerpark, and join the festival Het Vrije Westen, all free of cost. In the Westerpark you are NOT allowed to consume your own food and drinks, foodtrucks are at the festival area, so you can buy food and drinks. Do not bring cash, only bankcards are accepted. There will be several stages, including an Ukraine/ Dutch stage, a stage with all kinds of music and theatre, a stage with Brazilian Zouk dance workshops… Check their website: https://www.hetvrijewesten.eu/
Stay as long as you wish!
